Erementar Gerad Anime Summary
Coud comes across a box containing a girl!! He reaches out to touch her sleeping face and dislodges a crest on her and she wakes up. One of the first things she says to him is that she hates him because he's human! Three characters; Cisqua, Kuea and Rowan then turn up and attempt to buy her! They claim to want to protect her from those that would use her powers as an Edel Reid (Angel of War) especially as she is Reverie Metherlence a descendent of one of the strongest Edel Reid families. Coud and his captain refuse to sell her though and agree to protect her instead. When the ship is attacked shortly after Coud keeps Reverie (Ren for short) with him and fights off the attackers, but when he struggles Ren has a change of heart and 'matches' with him, turning into a huge sword that can control the wind. After the fight Ren is kidnapped and Coud flies after her and although he manages to get her back his poor flying results in them having to be rescued by Cisqua and the other two and they all crash land. Once on the ground Coud promises to take Ren wherever she wants to go and they become friends and start travelling in order to find the Garden of Eden (Edel Garden), a place Ren is told to go to in visions sent to her by a mysterious Edel Reid begging for help. But what will happen if/when they get there? Erementar Gerad or Elemental Gelade as its sometimes called is colourful, fast-paced and has great characters, with the possible exception of the bad guys which are a tad cliché! And yay it has a happy ending - that's me satisfied!!

Coud
Van Giruet is an orphan raised by airship pirates. Unfortunately
he's a bit of a klutz when it comes to piloting and therefore doesn't have
much of a reputation. The booty swiped from their latest outing though
contains a bit of a surprise...
