Noir Anime Summary
A Mirielle Bouquet reads a singular message on her computer, her pilgrimage to the past begins with the help of the strangest of partners. Noir is dominated by gothic, dark and complex influences. It tells the story of two women that, motivated to discover the tragic events of each one’s past, work together to unveil the dealings of an organization set to world domination. The story counts a small cast, all women, Mirielle, Kirika and Chloe, in a very truthful representation of reality, where music and images play an important part in showing their story. These women, assassins in the underworld, will find similarities in the jobs they are assigned that link to a criminal organization they find to have had ties with, that is trying to eliminate them. Noir creates the
perfect atmosphere and involves the viewer quickly. The plot unveils with
several subplots that are intertwined and that make the story go forward
smoothly. The lack of blood makes the series even more pleasant, given the
fact that the profession of the main characters is survive at the expense
of their enemies. The voices are superb and the sound effects very
realistic. The production crew also achieves a very close visualization of
several places involved in the series, such as
The most amazing element is the music. Yuki Kajiura uses her best capacities to create a masterpiece that evoke emotions and dictate tempos in the action. The use of techno, opera and other styles creates action paced scenes and complement well with the characters’ situations. The music themes from the characters describe the intimate persona of each in a beautiful and concise way.
