Madlax Anime Summary
Madlax is characterized by the same
themes as its predecessor Noir, yet this time the creators set the
internal and external context of the characters over the theme of war and
its destructive influence, along with showing the dual nature of human,
good and evil. Madlax is the kind of anime that gets better with every
episode. A maniac from an
organization causes a small country to fall on a civil war, orchestrating
every event as he pleases for the intent to recover three books that will
allow him to plunge the world into a great war, showing the inner and
destructive nature of humans. In his search, Margaret Burton obtains one
of the books, which she treasures but does not know what it is for. At the
same time, a mercenary called Madlax is charged with several
assassinations that will lead her to Margaret and the secret the books
contain. Not much can be
said of Madlax without revealing important plot details. The plot is
exquisite and the music is outstanding. The story will lead the characters
to the same and mysterious objective as the subplots are only
ramifications of a well orchestrated story that leave surprised along the
way.
The cast is more extensive than that in Noir, yet it follows the same design and style than its predecessor in characteristics and appearance. Every episode contains a good portion of action that will increase tension and formulate questions about the story and the characters involved. The twist is totally unexpected and will surprise the viewer; even if they perceive pieces throughout the story, they will be too fragile to recreate the final result until the show reaches it climax.
