Kanzaki Meirin may appear to be your average junior high school student, but what her friends aren't aware of is that she is gifted in the art of fusui (fortune-telling/feng-shui). On the web she is known by the name of Dr. Rin and her advice is widely sought-after. Unfortunately her crush Yuuki Asuka dislikes superstition of any kind and does not take kindly to her well-meant advice, even after she saves his life (a couple of times!!)...

Eventually her unflinching devotion wears him down and Asuka thaws a little more towards her, even going so far as to return the favour by saving her life a couple of times when she is targeted by other Masters of Fusui who attack her under the influence of an evil spirit in order to possess her power.

I really enjoyed the Ask Dr Rin or Dr Rin ni Kiitemite series, it gives you such a feel good feeling! Usually I find characters like Meirin quite annoying as they're impossibly dense and hyper and cute, which can be a bit overbearing at times, but Meirin somehow manages to carry it off without making me wanna shoot her! The series does get a bit clichéd the further it progresses and I much prefer the first few episodes where Tokiwa is evil. Very cool.
