Anime Related Sites

Once you start getting into a particular subject you find yourself randomly searching the internet for interesting info on it. Below I detail some websites I admired or found useful. All are related to anime in some form and to view any of them just click their respective banners...

I must stress that we are not affiliated with these sites in any way.

AnimeNfo

This site is great for general anime info and brief descriptions of characters. It has a large list of anime titles which you can search by year, genre and title.

The site also has a forum, which I have never actually used and the site allows members to add pictures and reviews of the animes.

The home page also details 5 randomly selected anime as well as the 5 mostly recently reviewed anime, which can appeal to those just randomly searching for a new anime to try...

Animesuki Forums

This site is self-explanatory it's a huge forum for discussions on general topics as well as anime-related ones. It features a lot of bittorrent threads as the main site is a very up-to-date mirror of bittorrent links so that you can download the most recent fansubs available.

The site is very strict about licensing and will remove links to torrents for licensed anime as soon as they get word.

You can search and browse the anime from A-Z

Bleach Portal

A fansite dedicated to Bleach naturally - features downloads available for members and characters bios with episode summaries etc. Also you can participate in polls and send messages to other members...

I have not spent a great deal of time on this site to give you a full breakdown, partly because I find the pop-up advertisements so annoying.

It's the only downside to the site that really puts you off... other than that it's great!

Anime Crave

This website has the facility to watch anime on the web - you can follow certain series and view online in a high or low quality. There is an Anime Crave chat facility so that members can chat to each other and there are also anime summaries and character pages...

This site has a nice simple layout and can keep you entertained for hours watching trailers and anime series, listening to mp3 music, looking at galleries of pics and fanart. Very cool. Certainly impressed me.

Also the adverts for other sites are well-placed and don't disturb your web-viewing experience...

Anime-Planet

A very user-friendly site, which has anime summaries and screen caps for a lot of anime. You can become a member and help add reviews to the site and earn prizes...

The site is very easy to navigate and one thing I find particularly useful are the recommended anime listed after the anime summaries so that you know what other animes people liked similar to the one you're viewing...

One Manga

This is a brilliant site for manga fans. I loved it because unlike Manga Volume the manga is very quick to load and you can view the next page of the manga by pressing the arrow key on your keyboard rather than dropping down a menu and clicking a specific page number!

It allows you to search for manga by genre and you can search under completed works also, if it annoys you having to wait for the next update!!! (I find that very trying...)

Here are some brief clicks for smaller, often more cryptic sites with tips on what they're good for...

Anime Downloads - Bittorrent

This site is for Naisho fansubs who sub Gakuen Alice and Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure

This next site is for downloading bittorrent files from Dattebayo fansubs. They cover; Bleach, Naruto, Naruto Shippuuden and Tsubasa Chronicle.

Manga

Another site to look at if you like manga is this one, it allows you to read manga online!

Manga Volume

I came across another site where you can read manga online, but it's generally for amateur or unpublished mangaka and tends to just be the romance genre. These manga are published as a bi-monthly online magazine...

Dream Manga

Anime Blogs

This blog I found very humourous and quite indepth. Completed series include; Air, Erementar Gerad, Honey and Clover, Melody of Oblivion, and Read of Die...

Cinnamon Ass

The following blog is also quite large and includes completed series, such as Death Note, Haibane Renmei, Jigoku Shoujo, Kanon, Mushishi, Paradise Kiss and Shinigami no Ballad...

Memento

Anime Images

I really rate the website below for anime images as they are usually of high quality and include scans from art books as well as screen cap pics and the site doesn't overload you with advertising!!

We-Love-Anime

(This site has been down for maintenance for a while, so don't know when it will be up again, if ever...)

Tutorials

Ah my aspirations of becoming a Mangaka depend greatly on me mastering Manga Studio, have just bought the Debut version and have yet to understand how the hell it works... am slowly figuring some of it out thanks to the help of some tutorials by Lincy Chan, the Mangaka of the manga Rhysmith;
